PIA has an opening for a TTP Construction and Maintenance Laborer II; full time, with some holidays. The primary duty is performing a variety of maintenance and construction duties for PIA's transportation facilities. Must have an interest in learning operation, maintenance and repair of gasoline and diesel powered equipment. Current and insurance Class A Commercial Drivers Licence (CDL), or the ability to obtain one within six months of date of hire. The work will be physically demanding. Starting wage DOE. The TTP Transit Driver focuses on the safe operation of an eight passenger plus two wheelchair bus that transports the elderly and people who struggle with physical challenges. The driver is responsible for scheduling and routing the transit vehicle, and maintaining records that outline driving activities. The driver promptly picks up and drops off riders according to a schedule that fits the needs of passengers. The driver assists passengers to board and exit the vehicle, ensures their safety, and securely fastens wheelchairs and other medical or mobility equipment. The driver performs the pre-inspection cleaning, fueling, and preventative maintenance on the transit vehicle. Native Preference applies. Part time and/or full time positions available. ICWA - Indian Child Welfare Act - This position serves Petersburg with the responsibility of delivering the child welfare services to Native families. Acts as an advocate and provides management services to families. Works with Office of Children's Services, State Court and other Social Service agencies. Responsible for ICWA compliance and Mandatory Reporting Laws. The 638 Grant Director oversees a variety of small grants which provide social service work to tribal members; including education, social services, general assistance, employment services and more. This is a part time (maximum of 26 hours per week) position for the Johnson O'Malley (JOM) Program at the Petersburg Indian Association. Duties include assisting native students who are enrolled in the JOM Program with school work, in a school setting, debriefing with the JOM Director weekly, provide progress reports, assisting with activities and events as needed, and other duties as assigned.
